Packaging, Texture and Consistency

The Yves Rocher Raspberry Peppermint Exfoliating Shower Gel comes in a 200ml eco-friendly tube with a plastic flip top cap.

It is also transparent so you can actually see the exfoliants (Apricot kernel powder and kiwi seeds) which in my opinion makes the packaging prettier.

The product has a light red colour (which you can’t see clearly because of the lighting) with a gel-like texture to it. It is neither too viscous nor too light.

My Experience with the Yves Rocher Raspberry Peppermint Exfoliating Shower Gel

This product happens to be my first exposure to this Yves Rocher brand and so at the time I got it, I did a little research on the brand. It is a French luxury brand that offers a wide range of plant-based skincare, cosmetics and perfumes. They are one of the few brands that are very intentional about their manufacturing process, making sure it doesn’t impact the environment negatively and I love them for that.

Also, if you know me, you’d know I really like scented body products and this product really made me happy in that aspect. I love how they were able to subtly add the peppermint scent while maintaining the fruitiness of raspberries. It leaves my entire space smelling beautifully and somehow gives me a feeling of luxury.

The Yves Rocher Raspberry Peppermint Exfoliating Shower Gel lathers pretty well too, with a little going a long way. Also, after rinsing the lather off, I love how refreshed my skin looks as it does not dry out or irritate my skin.

Overall I’ve had a great experience with this product.

Pros

  • Pleasant fragrance that lasts for a while
  • Does not dry out the skin
  • Little goes a long way
  • Lathers well
  • Eco-friendly container

Cons

  • Can’t twist cap to open the tube completely

Would I try this again?

To be honest, this shower gel is definitely something I can get again and would recommend any day and any time for people who love fruity scents. However, I would rather explore more scents from the brand than stick to just the Raspberry Peppermint Exfoliating Shower Gel.

You can purchase Yves Rocher products from their website. They have multiple websites for different countries. If you are in Nigeria, you can check their Instagram for details.

Do you like scented body products? Which ones do you love?
